“PACK 311 AND THE TRAIL OF INDIANA JONES”

This Adventure Camp Weekend is based on the exploits of the fictional archaeologist Indiana ("Indy") Jones featured in four movies starring Harrison Ford as the title character. Conveniently, Indy’s adventures were set during the lifetime of the founder of Scouting, Lord Robert Baden-Powell (1857-1941), a "fact" we use to link Indiana Jones to the very beginnings of the Scouting movement. The fun begins on Friday night when the families check in to their cabins and bunkrooms and discover they have been re-named after famous -- real and fictional -- museums or archaeological sites of the world (scroll over the cabin icons below):

After moving their gear into the cabins, everyone gathers in Camp Josepho's Malibu Lodge for a screening
of the third Indiana Jones movie, INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE, in which he is memorably portrayed as a Boy Scout by the young actor River Phoenix. Caramel corn and ice cream bars are served.
After the movie is over, it's lights out in camp and everyone goes to bed dreaming of Indy's adventures...

The next morning begins with reveille and breakfast in the lodge.
