CAMP CLOSING CEREMONIES
AND THE SURPRISE APPEARANCE OF A SPECIAL GUEST

The adventures of Saturday are capped by a traditional Cub Scout campfire,
with skits, songs and silliness, as well as reflections on the day spent in Scouting brotherhood --
but the following Sunday morning (just like the previous morning), the sound of an old prop plane flying overhead is again heard. An adult bursts into the lodge and announces that another mysterious wooden crate has just been parachuted into camp!

Everyone is told to gather outside, where they discover a large olive-green military parachute covers a box marked "BSA AIR DELIVERY" in the middle of the parade ground (actually a re-use of the same parachute and box from the day before). The Cubmaster has the Scouts carry the heavy crate to the campfire ring...

When everyone is seated, the Cubmaster and an assistant use special "BSA emergency keys" to unlock the crate.

The first item that is removed is another letter from Baden-Powell,
which the Cubmaster begins to read aloud:
