“PACK 311 AND THE SEARCH FOR
JACK SPARROW'S TREASURE”

ISLA DE MUERTA:
THE TALKING SKULL

The Scouts enter and are lead to a table with a piece of a pirate ship propped up on it.
Affixed to the boards is an animatronic pirate skull and crossed swords just like the one from
the ride at Disneyland -- a sort of “pirate altar.” It is lit by flickering (fake) candles:

Near the skull and swords is a (fake) torch-lit stone wall with treasure glowing from a niche
and with a small closed door. The "undead" pirate leaves the room -- and the skull begins to speak:

“No fear have ye of evil curses, says you? Properly warned ye be, says I.
Open the door in the treasure grotto and feast yer eyes upon the bewitched gold within.
Punished for eternity be ye greedy mortals who remove a piece from this chest.
There be but one way to lift the curse -- return all the pieces to the chest and close the door again!”

When the Scouts open the door they see a small treasure chest inside:

They place ALL of their Aztec coins in the treasure chest and close the door
(and as the chest is secretly swapped out with one of Jack’s personal items), the skull says:

“Hopes of lifting the curse of this Aztec gold, have ye? Say aye!
Very good -- no longer will the scurvy cutthroats who have stolen this treasure
turn under moonlight into the bony undead.
Be there one among ye who can be trusted to return to the land of the living
something left behind on this island? Say aye!
Open the door below and take that which belongs to Captain Jack Sparrow!"

The Scouts open the door and reveal -- the treasure chest has disappeared, but there IS one of Jack’s personal items inside on a little pile of sand...
