“PACK 311 AND THE SEARCH FOR
JACK SPARROW'S TREASURE”

THE PIRATE HIDEAWAY AT CROOKED COVE

As the Scouts arrive, they find there is an obstacle course to complete before they get to
the edge of the creek, consisting of a balance beam over "quicksand" and "bottomless ocean."

Once there, the crew captain reads the next set of instructions:

The Scouts discover the locked, dusty, teakwood chest,
and the key hanging from a tree. Also nearby is a sieve, bucket and funnel.

They use the key to open the chest. Inside the box is a rubber stamp,
which one of the crew captain's helpers will use to stamp their maps.
Besides the rubber stamp it seems the chest contains only sand --
but when the sand is sifted as instructed,
a quantity of assorted gemstones is revealed:

The crew captain instructs the Scouts to use the funnel
to pour the gems into a supplied bag (to be divided evenly later).

The stamped maps are returned to the Scouts.
